While a Hermit Thrush is taking a bath, it stops for a moment and regurgitates a pit. After he was finished in the bath, we found the pit in the water. We collected various berries from the property including mountain ash berries, salal berries, St. John's Wort berries and English Laurel berries. After slicing the berries open, we knew the Hermit Thrush ate an English Laurel berry.
